L.A. electro pop rising star shares heartfelt second single off upcoming debut LP
Los Angeles alt pop musician Claire George has been one of our favorite rising artists of the last few years, and she’s now gearing up to release her highly anticipated debut LP The Land Beyond The Light next month. So far we’ve heard the gorgeous lead single “Pink Elephants,” and today she’s shared another new taste of the record, the poignant and blissful-sounding dance number “I Promise.”
Here, Claire George unleashes her pristinely powerful singing voice over nostalgic synths and garage-infused breakbeats, conjuring intense feelings of lust and longing. It’s a beautifully wide-eyed and celestial banger that radiates with catchy synth pop and electronic-dance textures.
“‘I Promise’ is about staying devoted to the people you love even when they are struggling to be their best selves,” George shared. “It’s about the importance of holding space for people to exist in whatever shape they show up in, and a reminder to those who feel flawed or unworthy that they are singularly spectacular.”
Claire George’s The Land Beyond The Light arrives on May 21 via Cascine. You can pre-order it HERE and watch the visualizer and live performance clip of “I Promise” below.
