Cuckoo Chaos, “Possessed By A Corpse”

Cuckoo Chaos

Cuckoo Chaos are a bit of a San Diego supergroup with members of The Vision of a Dying World, The Paddle Boat, Black Mamba, and Cousins rounding out the lineup. Chances are those band names mean nothing to people not from San Diego, which is why it's going to be their allegiance to Lefse, booking by the founder of Windish (serious clout) and a Robby Moncrief-produced EP that sells these chill SoCal cats to the world at large.

Cuckoo Chaos are mathematicians of the beach front property scene. San Diego has long been purveyors of the sun-soaked vibrations and Cuckoo Chaos continue the lineage. “Possessed By A Corpse” smells of coconut oils and glistens in the sun. It's the sonic opposite to what happens to an actual corpse in the sun. The track is the last jam out on Woman EP , which plays like a color-wheel of whimsical pop that tinkers with nerdier side of rocking out. We wouldn't be opposed to seeing dudes in the company of Vampire Weekend and Princeton, either on tour or in the form of a Vespa biker gang.
