Dan Snaith, who is capable of doing everything under his monikers Caribou, Manitoba, and Daphni, has taken “Renata”, a new release from trance enthusiast James Holden and put an enchanting spin on it, with the addition of female vocals and a slow buildup as smooth as lukewarm honey. The original track was a builder, as well, but this one has an even greater mountain to climb as his light-touching vocal additions have a festering softness that's subtle and captivating.
