Chicago's Doomed Boys, who formed from the ashes of playful pop outlet Super Minotaur, have unveiled details for their next project, the unfortunatley named Doomed Boys. With a fortchoming album, comic book, and short film in the works, Doomed Boys have been making solid efforts to prove that a name is just a name, and their second single, “Doomed Boy”, puts the last nail in that coffin. The track, which you can stream below, has the infectious qualities of too-short garage punk, full of echoes and minor chords and an underlying atonal melody. Darker and more melancholy than Super Minotaur, Doomed Boys might be playing with the morose angle, but we hope it doesn't end badly or any time soon.
