There are an infinite number of strains of the garage rock epidemic, each with its own subtle discolorations and unsettled symptoms. And if you like the stuff, it's kind of hard to hate on even the sloppiest, most fundamentally unmusical examples of it. This isn't quite that: Vancouver's Dead Ghost are capable enough at their instruments, but it does take the shit-storm lo-fi approach to its recording, which makes a four-track seem extravagant and could easily could have been recorded to boomboxes. Lovin' it.
