The musical duo of English sisters, Hockeysmith, has released only their second song release of their young careers. Annie and Georgie Hockeysmith come from the small town of Cornwall, UK, but their ideas and voice are big enough to fill a city and it’s showcased in the free ranging track, “Meanwhile”. Beginning with a soft acoustic guitar and echoing bellows, that pair nicely with the recent oncoming of frigid winter air, the track finds new identity as retro synth sounds and mechanical drums lead us towards the finish. Dabbling with vocal experimentation in the vein of James Blake, the track finishes with a wall of voices in an epic manner.
Check out the new song below, which is to be released next year on Hockeysmith’s debut EP.
