Holiday Shores has on occasion transformed Idiot Glee into a trio by backing him on bass and drums, and it makes sense, any given segment of their intricate, shimmery instrumentals are very much The Band to I.Glee's more repetitious, croony atmospherics. The Shores slip straight down the schticky slope of 70s smooth rock for “Spells”, a track off their New Masses For Squaw Peak, out September 13 on twosyllable. Donald Fagen will hear this and feel like a proud daddy.
