Producer House Shoes is a legend in Detroit. If this is news to you, then there's no better time to get acquainted than The Makings Pt. 1. The free stream collects nine of House Shoes tracks that either found a home on an obscure Detroit rapper's mixtape or never saw the light of day.
House Shoes tweeted several tales, to offer an inside look into the collection. For instance, the Danny Brown track “High” is over four years old, which is not even the oldest beat on the record. Brown shows hints of his current style, but he's not quite blown out his signature “CHECK” call. The collection also features an appearance by deceased Detroit rapper and D12 member Proof.
The Makings Pt. II is dropping next week with more loosies from Danny Brown, Elzhi, Quelle, Chips Deniro, and MarvWon.
