Humansuit, a group comprised of Isaiah Toothtaker and Mestizo, linked up with Gonjasufi and Flying Lotus for “Lawnmower Man”. It's the first leak from the group's upcoming project, still a few months and no release date announced, but the trippy and blippy stirrings within “Lawnmower Man” are cause for keeping this one on the radar.
Humansuit first blipped into our sphere with “I Gotcha” in '09, which featured the grimey production of Meaty Ogre. Three years later, the group is in future primitive mode on “Lawnmower Man”, which sounds like a haunted homage to the pixelated protagonist of the film bearing the same name. Gonjasufi sings of sacrificial blood-letting, while Mestizo and Isaiah operate beneath the crackle and push-button vibes, expressing their willingness to follow the Lawnmower Man into the mainframe.
