Jam City is “Unhappy”

Nick Rattigan

South London producer, Jam City, is dipping his hands into the sweet pool of pop music. After a series of EPs, his debut Classical Curves in 2012, and his Earthy mixes trilogy, the 25-year-old producer changes up his genre a bit with the release of his latest track “Unhappy.”

While the song sticks to the same cloudy and archaic production style that we’ve heard from Jam City in the past, it’s vocal melody fall more along the pop song tropes with two verses, a chorus and all of those fun musical conventions. After clicking through a series hopeless and spiritually damning pop ups on his website, you can get to the soundcloud link. However, we must say for a song that covered in depressing imagery of trash and social commentary, it is damn catchy.
