Non-profit web-radio collective dublab is set to release the star-sprinkled compilation album, dublab Presents: Light from Los Angeles, this October. The comp includes original offerings from Los Angeles-based brethren, including Teebs, Dntel, Sun Araw, Nite Jewel and Julia Holter. The album’s release arrives on the heels of dublab’s 13 year anniversary in broadcasting this September.
With the goal to both celebrate and spur creativity, artists were given cameras to shoot videos to compliment the compilation's fifteen tracks, encouraging listeners and viewers to remix both the visual and audio. The first video to surface comes from the Julia Holter and Nite Jewel collaboration, “What We See.” The video augments the track’s delicate minimalism with a soft focus glow and a saturated pastel color scheme, enhancing the tracks understated charm.
dublab Presents: Light From Los Angeles is out October 23rd on dublab.
