With the release of Kendrick Lamar's #Section.80 a week away, his label continues to wet our appetite with streaming tracks that confirm Lamar is writing some of the best music of his budding career. Over the weekend “Hol' Up” dropped, which has Kendrick 30,000 feet high writing rhymes to a soft horn section reminiscent of Chicago. Lamar weighs his chances of joining the Mile High Club with the stewardess (attendant, I know, his words not mine), while also casually comparing himself to a terrorist. Indeed, big shit is popping, but Lamar's plane lands without a hitch and he remains true to his good kid from a mad city identity.
#Section.80 is out July 2 on TDE.
