This new track from dance pop outfit Lemonade is the easiest listen you'll probably make all day. If you've been wondering to yourself where all the boy bands went at the end of their mid-00s reign, you'll find that they've popped up in varying forms similar to Lemonade, a trio that markets on pleading melodies, big chorus breaks, and freely moving twinkly piano lines. With the release of their latest track, “Perfect Blue”, we have to wonder if the group will inevitably be elevated to panting girlish breath beats and cloying, manipulative serenades. Either way, the updated reminder of music we thought had died with the Mickey Mouse Club is a welcome change from the barren garage punk landscape.
