Main Attrakionz have been quiet since the release of last year's endearingly ethereal Bossalinis and Fooliyones album, but now the Oakland-based duo of Squadda B and Mondre M.A.N. are back with a new track, “On1,” that features fellow west coasters Shady Blaze and Tynethys. Over a luscious, piano-laced production the rappers air out their slurry rhymes while a snatch of AutoTune is induced for the hook. The resulting shebang is testament to the charm of the cloud rap movement that Main Attrakionz became the poster children for — listening to “On1” is all about the overall zone-out vibe of the track rather than any knock-out concept underscoring it all.
The creative collaboration on display in “On1” will be continued with a full-length project from Main Attrakionz and Tynethys scheduled to drop on October 22. Prepare the electric relaxation condiments.
