“So Far So Long” is the first single of off Nightlands' sophomore album, Oak Island. David Hartley, the man behind Nightlands, is also known for playing bass in The War on Drugs, and the father of Death Dunk, an Impose sports column.
Hartley layers his voice on “So Far So Long” to harmonize with himself, offering a sense of distance and melancholy that proves to be somewhat comforting. The acoustic strumming, trumpets, and soft major chords provide nostalgic 70's vibes that make you ask yourself why you threw out the bell bottoms. Listen to “So Far So Long” below.
Oak Island is out January 22 from Secretly Canadian.
