No Valley, “A Bird With No Feathers”

no valley

A few weeks ago, Wayne Memmer, aka No Valley, debuted “Charlie Don't Surf” off his forthcoming album, Over Time Scattered. Today, we're turning our attention to his second single off the 9 song album, a continuation of his signature jangly garagepop style, “A Bird With No Feathers.” The song opens with Memmer singing in an aggressive high-pitched whisper, followed by a shift into energized belting. An urgent feeling pulses throughout, fittingly matched by wistful lyrics about going back in time and fixing what's broken: A thousand years; a million years. Who's counting? We're mostly concerned with what the future looks like for this enterprising New Paltz-based project.

Keep up with No Valley here and stream the new track below.
