St. Louis's Phaseone survived the chillwave cleansing of 2011, laid low for a year, only to return two years later with “It's Not Forever”. Down with Lefse since our website was in Neon Indian-backlash mode, Phaseone is long overdue for a long player. In the interim he offers “It's Not Forever” in his split 7″ with Parisian.
“It's Not Forever” never breaks its cyclic refrain, which creates an infinite irony to his production. With the loop stuck on broken, Phaseone builds up towering synth movement that launches the monitors to red and leaves it orbiting in the clouds.
Phaseone's “It's Not Forever” is the a-side to a split single with Parisian out January 29 via Lefse.
