With all of our New Years Resolutions taking shape, we thought it might be a while before we imbibe spirits. But that doesn’t mean we can’t write about them. As Planning For Burial prepares for his new release, Below the House, in March, we’ve got the premiere for their new track “Whiskey and Wine.”
Starting with amp noises that sound like fingernails on a chalkboard, “Whiskey and Wine” comes in heavy-hitting, with the crashing of cymbals and big, grand guitar chords right off the bat. After it establishes its intense instrumentals, the screaming vocals set in, directly contrasted with the light twinkling of chimes. It’s beautiful – even in its most raw, hysterical moments – and feels like a roller coaster of emotion.
Below the House is out March 10th via The Flenser.
