Pocket Hercules, “Well-Adjusted”

Post Author:

Folk-inspired math-rock is an unusual concept, but Pocket Hercules are seamlessly mixing tonal and rhythmic subtleties from all over a life map into something fresh and rather wondrous. Softly stated vocals coo over curious guitar pickings and pleasantly unique chords in the first single from the Brooklyn-via-Oregon four piece’s self-titled debut on Seagreen Records. On the track, titled “Well-Adjusted”, singer River Donaghey, is witnessing elements change out of his control. His voice and guitar’s strumming growing in fervor and intensity as the song progresses towards its screeching halt.
