The project of Brooklyn-based artist Matt Meade, Spritzer has certainly reflected a sound that is overall in the “dream” category, with more traditional rock band elements stripped back piece by piece with each release. Such is the case with the forthcoming Not Allowed, out next week, with new single “Plague” debuting today.
The breezy track follows Meade’s Sufjan-style delivery as a consistent, churning guitar sets up the whirring synths ala Future Islands.
