Here's the last song on Pygmy Shrew's album The Egyptian. It came out in 2009, but I got it in the mail last week.
Pygmy Shrews are in many ways a continuation of the blasted post-hardcore work done by The Fugue, with the same guitar violence but with less shout and more melody (even harmony) in the vocal attack. We did say “attack” though. This stuff is raunchy and best heard in a basement with plenty of Schlitz, and the guitar solo can melt the face off the gnarliest metal head.
