Portland R&B artist gears up to release her long-gestating record
Making her mark as one of Portland’s most buzzed artists, Reva Devito is returning this year with something much more personal, and she does not intend to rush it.
Having made her mark collaborating with the likes of Kaytranada, Young Franco, Chuck Inglish, and more, the new project from Reva is the culmination of ten years of work in the studio. Produced by long-term collaborator B Bravo, the first single “Bet You Stay” explores nostalgic and pensive musical textures. Overall, it’s a powerful slice of alt-R&B.
“This year and most of last were extremely transformational years of my life,” she shared. “For the songs on this upcoming record, I drew a lot from the loss that I experienced contributing to major growing pains. It’s not easy to let parts of yourself die and to step into your power, so I am grateful I had this project to channel some of that energy into.” Listen below.
