scooterbabe, “Sick Spine”

Post Author:

After two EPS released in 2013 and 2014, scooterbabe from Athens, GA is releasing their debut album The Sorrow You’ve Been Toting Around.  We’ve got the exclusive premiere of the very first single off the album, titled “Sick Spine”.

Band members JJ Posway, Michael Buice, Evan Tyor, and Jesse Lafian have created a song with rhythmic punch and tight lyrics.  Jianna Justice contributes vocals (as well as violin). Although the lyrics seem to describe a cynical space in time (i.e. “And like everything that piles on me, it’s not my fault – please don’t let it be me”), the tune is layered and spirited, completely contradicting the theme.  You find yourself singing along to a song that is clearly about indecision and struggle.  You will also look forward to the album release November 4th, 2016 to see what else scooterbabe has to offer.
