Shelby Earl, "Call Her Mercy"

Post Author: Meredith Schneider

Seattle’s indie rock songbird Shelby Earl has been garnering attention for quite some time now. And rightfully so, as her first two albums were absolute dreams and received accolades from established sources like Rolling Stone and the Wall Street Journal. Today, we’ve got the exclusive premiere of her new track “Call Her Mercy”, which will be available on her next album out March 10th!
Light, slow, beautiful. “Let’s have a baby, we’ll call her Mercy” is the first line, getting the explanation of the song title out of the way right off the bat. But it’s not just about that. The song goes through mild transitions, whole sections where you feel like there is more of an edge to Shelby’s voice. This is only magnified with the hard rock essence of the electric guitar solos throughout the track.
This track is about love, and it emulates that ideal in its sound. But you might have to hear it to believe it. (And trust us, you want to hear it.)

The Man Who Made Himself a Name is out March 10th. It is available for preorder now. Keep up with Shelby Earl here.
