Minneapolis trio Is/Is aren't any old dreampop band and they want you to know it. Made up of Sarah Rose, Sarah Nienaber, and Ronnie Lee, the sweetly droned group, on its latest 7″ untitled release, prove that shoegazey melodies and swaths of shimmery guitars don't have to be shy at all. With the power and pulse of Rose's singing voice, and the committment to have a sound that stays firmly planted in the foreground, Is/Is are destined for a lifelong adoration from fans of the hi-fi. The 7″ follows a debut LP entitled III, released under Minneapolis label Guilt Ridden Pop, and will preclude an EP release this summer on Manimal Vinyl.
