The noisey LA shoegazers of Tennis System are in the home stretch of their eastbound Such A Drag U.S. Tour. With a follow-up to 2011's Teenagers LP due in the summer, the tour is an opportunity to hear tracks from the unfinished record be worked out on the road. But start here with “Technicolor Blind” a completed single that's thrust the pop element into the depths of their effects systems and processed it down to the richest of minerals.
On “Technicolor Blind”, frontman Matty Taylor orates the tale of an unnamed she who's hip to his ways. Through the blistering breakdown, those trying moments are brought to life, the moments when information received causes a heavy ringing that blots out one's surroundings. Tennis Systems bring an immediate acceptance stage with their tender passages, but it's fleeting as it once again rips free for white-out rage of caterwaul.
