D.C. nerdpunks The Dismemberment Plan have a new album coming out October, and if this new track is any indication, a return to form for the band is already lined up and ready to go. We first heard the standard issue “Waiting” from the band, a track that reminded us that all good things come to those who wait, and “Invisible” is a similar but even more direct throwback. Starting with a string sample and jumping right into Travis Morrisson's signature vocal tone, the song is a lyrical callout to the difficulties of life in New York. This feels like the D-Plan that we know and love and with every track that is made available to us, it's as if we never left the 2000s, and we are in no way complaining about that.
Uncanney Valley comes out through Partisan Records on October 15. Pick up a copy of that here, then catch the band at the dates below.
