The cover of The Spits forthcoming fifth full length (and first on In The Red) made me think of that scene in Batman (the 1989 one) where the Joker goes around an art gallery defacing all the works on the walls after he's gassed everybody to death. While nobody died in the making of the record cover in question (I think…), I have a feeling that the members of the band were probably in the middle of another Robitussin binge – like the one they seemed to be on during the recording of their fortcoming album, which is the most chopped and screwed sounding thing I can imagine them doing – when they decided to draw all over Eugène Delacroix's 1830 painting, Liberty Leading The People.
