In the spirit of Thrill Jockey Records entering their 20th year of existence, they will be reissuing and re-pressing many of their classic releases. The first contender—possibly a retrospective comment on the nature of society today—is Trans AM's Futureworld LP. The re-issue will feature “Nazi/Hippie Empire” and “Now You Die, Thriddle Fool!”, two previously unreleased tracks taken from the original session and mixed by James Murphy. The LP, which is slated for release on September 13 can be preordered here, will kick off their nationwide tour where they will be be performing the entirety of their dystopian masterpiece. Other viynl reissues coming from Thrill Jockey include releases from Tortoise and the Sea and Cake. Check out the original version of Futureworld and bask in its otherworldy bizarrity.
