The world has always seen an influx of awesome Scandinavian music, and the release of a new single from Copenhagen natives, Vår, soundly reinforces the notion that Scandinavians know what they are doing musically. The four piece, an offshoot of Iceage, is preparing to drop their debut LP No One Dances Quite Like My Brothers, through Sacred Bones Records on May 14. Eargasms shall ensue.

The single, “The World Fell”, opens with a thwacking bass and is soon joined by buoyant and lofty synths and powerful rallying vocals. This track is a prime example of grade A Scandinavian experimental techno pop (sorry, that was kind of a mouthful). Keep your eyes and ears peeled for the release of No One Dances Quite Like My Brothers, and bump “The World Fell” in the meantime.
