Young Jeezy, The Real Is Back

Young Jeezy no longer needs to be Jay-Z's +1 to award shows and celebrity birthday parties for us to give his music a listen. He's struck out on his own with Corporate Thugz Entertainment. With the imprint in place and a Gangsta Gibbs signing on lock, Jeezy dropped The Real Is Back mixtape on Memorial Day to solidify his new place in the trap rap game.

Hosted by DJ Drama, The Real Is Back is a prelude to the global warming bound to occure when Jeezy drops his long-awaited fourth album this summer. This is pure whip music. Jeezy is strictly concerned with the braggadocio, whether it be his whip, his broads, his cash flow or his work. Even if you don't slang it in the streets, rapping along to Jeezy's music is a instant self-esteem builder. Check “Broads” and “I Ball I Stunt” for prime examples.

The Real Is Back features guest appearances by Fabolous, Slick Pulla, Yo Gotti, Lil' Wayne, Alley Boy and Freddie Gibbs, which includes “Stripes (Run D MC)” and the new “Do It For You”.
