Forgive this for not being completely new, but there are thousands of tracks in my inbox every hour and sometimes I overlook things. This track by Brooklyn's YVETTE is one I've been meaning to bring to everyone's attention for a while. Ringing in under three minutes, this song feels longer purely because it goes through so much transition. The drum beat is the only constant, and it's a latent mind-eraser. There's a good amount of buzz ringing through everything, but at first the guitar sounds are vaguely South Pacific in pitch and timbre before the low-end really comes in to thump your headphones.
The Erosion/Cold Sweat 7-inch is out now on Nick Sylvester's God Mode label.
