Join us and Washer for a Harold Hunter Foundation benefit

Post Author:

Harold Hunter was a professional skateboarder, most notable for his role in Larry Clark’s 1995 film Kids, but a face most skaters recognized throughout the ’90s and early aughts. Harold passed away in 2006, and in 2007 a foundation was created in his name to “use skateboarding as a vehicle to provide inner-city youth with valuable life experiences that nurture individual creativity, resourcefulness, and the development of life skills.” Each fall the Harold Hunter Foundation celebrates Harold’s life and their continuing work with Harold Hunter Day.

This year Harold Hunter Day falls on October 11, and to help support the cause, we’ve teamed up with Vans and Paragon Sports for a silent Skateboard auction at the latter this Friday, October 10. Featuring 24 skateboards designed by 24 different artists, Decked Out will feature a silent auction of all 24 boards, limited edition posters for sale, and (the Impose part), musical guests Washer and Aliens, all proceeds from the event will go to benefit the Harold Hunter Foundation.

The silent auction is actually live now, and you can bid on any (or all) of the boards up for grabs here. The show on Friday is free with RSVP, but a $10 donations is suggested (remember, it’s a benefit). The silent auction kicks off at 7pm with the bands to start at 8pm. We hope to see you there!
