This is one of those times where we try to use our big mouths for good. Richard Hoffman, the bassist of Brooklyn's Sightings and frequent collaborator elsewhere (recently, for instance, as part of Man Forever) suffered a tragedy on June 1. The apartment where he and his wife Dana Bell resided in North Brooklyn burned down in a fire (thankfully, no one was home). Since then, the community has rallied around them to fundraise a little something-something to help them get into a new place and be comfortable. They have almost hit the goal they set for the page, but you can help put them over the edge here.
Here's a favorite Sightings song, “Tar and Pine”.
