Juiceboxxx announces Heartland 99

Post Author:

Living Midwest rap legend and energy drink mogul, Juiceboxxx has been gearing up for his new release since March’s Highway to the Heartland mixtape. The precursor mixtape set the stage for Heartland 99, the follow-up to 2012’s I Don’t Wanna Go Into The Darkness. Fuzztones a plenty, Heartland 99 will be a tectonic shift in the direction of the Juiceboxxx oeuvre.

He’s still the same old Juiceboxxx, 150 lbs of unbridled mania jacked up on a sixer of his Thunder Zone energy drink, but Heartland 99 adjusts the rock box dial to a driving post punk groove. He’s a proven road warrior, but his latest record feels like riding shotgun with the roadrunner, doing 100 on the highway with the radio on.

Previously, Juiceboxxx released a video for the cut “Like A Maniac”, which illustrates what happens when you try to contain his energy in a suburban home.

Heartland 99 is out June 9 on Juiceboxxx’s imprint, Thunder Zone and being pressed on LP by Vinyl International.

Juiceboxxx has a few select spring dates:
April
29 DETROIT @ ST. ANDREW’S HALL (WITH ANDREW WK)
30 TORONTO @ DOUBLE DOUBLE LAND (WITH MAN MADE HILL AND CERAMIC TL)
MAY
01 NEW YORK CITY @ TRANS PECOS (WITH EXTREME ANIMALS, HARIBO, SEF, AND SEPTIC SUNDAY SOUNDSYSTEM)
