Nana Grizol's southern generosity

Nana Grizol waste no time in following up its debut. We've got the leak on the next record's progress.

Nana Grizol's Love It Love It introduced us to yet another talented songwriter from Athens, Ga. Theo Hilton commands his open-book lyrics like a southern Patrick Stickles with slightly hippie sensibilities. His appreciation for the quaint shines throw, but it's far from drum circles, hemp sweaters and nag champa.

Hilton is blessed with living in the city that contains the remnants of Neutral Milk Hotel's horn section, which pushes his band outside of the garden variety of indie rock. “For Things That Haven't Come” sounds like an extension of the blissful, horn-driven call to arms joined that made Love It Love It endearing.

The sophomore record Ruth is scheduled for a January 2010 release on Orange Twin.
