Peaking Lights stream Cosmic Logic

Post Author:

All ilk of electropop fans are in luck. LA’s notoriously catchy dub pop/psych duo Aaron Coyes and Indra Dunis, aka Peaking Lights, are now streaming their fourth album, Cosmic Logic, from their site.

Engineered and produced by Coyes and mixed by Matt Thorley (DFA, LCD Soundsystem), the record is full of whirring synth sounds, big percussive beats, and Dunis’ laid-back vocals. As for genre, it’s a bit of everything, drawing on elements of acid house, Afrobeat, and disco. Even while incorporating influences from around the world, the record never really assimilates with any specific genre, instead darting from place to sonic place while maintaining a far-out, spacey vibe.

You can stream the album on a psychedelic solar-system interface here. It’ll be out next Tuesday, October 7 via Weird World, on digital download, CD, and deluxe LP, which comes with a limited-edition bonus 12″ featuring two remixes. Scroll down for release tour dates in NYC and LA.
