D.C.'s Windian Records has long been a staple of capital-city garage and punk, particularly in featuring longstanding institution The Points, which founder Travis Jackson was a member of. Last week on late Wednesday night, while working his highway construction job, Jackson was struck and killed by a woman who lost control of her vehicle in Southeast D.C. Jackson is survived by his wife, Ashley, and one-year-old son, Lincoln. Jackson's family and friends have set up a memorial fund for his family, which has already surpassed its goal, and is still open for contributions at this link.
Watch a video of Jackson absolutely killing it on drums with The Points in 2009. Rest in peace.
