Dublin’s own Slow Skies (Karen Sheridan) is a soft folk/pop act that has just released its first single off of her debut LP. “Dancing” contains a toe tapping rhythm created by a tambourine, and Sheridan’s light vocals bounce around, filling the speakers and almost transforming the listener. To put it bluntly, the song is beautiful.
Along with “Dancing”, Slow Skies was kind enough to put together a playlist for us here at Impose. The playlist is called “Summer Ladies” and it was curated by Sheridan based around female vocalists that she is interested in right now. The 12 song SoundCloud playlist reflects Sheridan’s interests and musings, giving us a glimpse into her process and the world of a talented musician.
You can listen to the playlist here. You can also visit the Slow Skies SoundCloud to listen to “Summer Ladies” and “Dancing”. For more information on Slow Skies, you can visit their Facebook.
