The ascendant Irish rock band brought the house down in NYC

Fontaines D.C. have had the type of year that bands of their caliber dream of. After years of hard work, quality albums, and building out a dedicated following, the Irish rockers hit gold with their latest album Romance – which has galvanized not just the indie work, but the mainstream as well. As a result, they’re playing bigger venues than ever on their current North American tour, and their performance at Brooklyn Paramount last weekend showed why they’re one of the world’s most exciting rock bands at the moment.

The band, led by the charismatic and mercurial singer Grian Chatten, came out of the gates strong with a number of anthemic tracks off Romance, but they also ran the set back through some of their greatest past hits, including “Televised Mind,” “Jackie Down The Line,” and “Boys In the Better Land,” their breakout single off debut album Dogrel. With a show that had the rowdy New York crowd in the palm of their hands, ultimately, Fontaines D.C. proved that the sky is their ceiling, and we couldn’t be more excited to see what they do next.
