JUNGLE 1994 BBC DOC
I found this last night. Awesome vid of the London jungle scene in 1994 with Shy FX, DJ Rap, LTJ BUKEM, UK Apache and even a little teeny cameo by Toronto's own Mystical Influence, in the UK buying records. That's why he was so dope. Jungle was a scene that was way black, way London, and way sick with the drums. Shy FX even plays the bass live on a keyboard when he performs.
These guys were the shit to me, like total legends, when I was young, so big ups to the 1994 London total DIY jungle scene. Sidenote: WTF happened to jungle??? It went wack after Warhead by DJ Krust… just my opinion.

GRATEFUL DEAD
There was a neo-hippie thing going on when I was a kid and my brother used to bring home tie-dyed Dead tour T-shirts (which I would steal). The real prize, however, was a VHS of a Grateful Dead movie, which had this incredible animation on it. I searched this video a couple days ago and lo and behold. Wish I still had the VHS, though.

One of my favorite vids of the last 5 years? The whole tone is so crummy and scuzzy and dark and paranoid. And elegant. I love this shit. Hardboiled on the TV, Prodigy actually murders a guy, the candles in the pizza box. And then it gets crazy. THE COUCH! Haha, I love this. Also, the song is sick and so perfect for the video.
