The best memories stay fresh. Rewind, 1993: Just 16, we’d throw our skateboards into the Tercel hatchback and head down the Sierra to San Francisco, cueing up the Beastie Boys’ “Biz vs The Nuge” as we hit the YBI tunnel. When timed perfectly, “Time For Livin’” would kick in as the San Francisco skyline appeared out of the mid-span darkness.
Those Beasties joints were the tunes that Mike Carroll skated to in Plan B’s Questionable Video. Most of his part was filmed at EMB, better know as Justin Herman Plaza. That was our destination. Back then it was the destination of every skater in the world.
