Floating Action Virtuoso and soloist, Seth Kauffman, the man behind the music, releases his second Single “Last of the Wild Cards” for the upcoming album “Is It Exquisite?” worldwide September 1st.
Seth says “This one, I had that riff, on the acoustic guitar, and vocal – and it had a similar vibe to The Kinks’ Nothing In The World Can Stop Me From Worrying ‘Bout That Girl’ (from Rushmore), and I really love that restrained coolness. No drum kit on this song either just brushes on gourds and boot-heel on floor percussion. The lyrics; kind of express frustration with the low quality-control of ideas; musically and lyrically, with many bands now – it seems like the threshold for what passes for acceptable, is very very low, It’s very stifling when you think about it. That’s where the notion of the Last of the Wild Cards comes from-how, at least in the music industry, everything still has to fit in a box, or category.”
Seth has also worked with loads of artists in the past as well as many projects that have gained him the respect of successful artists such as Dr. Dog, Dan Auerbach, Angel Olsen, Jim James, and Band Of Horses.Listen to Floating Action and his second single “Last of the Wild Cards”, a very peaceful and genuine melody. This is an artist with true talent that will make you disappear into in his music.
