Hoofa – “Alone”

Ambient indie-pop act shares uplifting new single

London musicians James Rooney and Alan Thompson have been making music together since they first met, bizarrely, in a converted toilet in Camden. Since the first chance encounter the pair have gone on to perform across the country, while their music under the moniker Hoofa has also been used in a number of football stadiums.

Toeing the line between indie, electronica and pop with chameleonic ease, they demonstrate an exceptional songwriting ability for a young duo. For their new single “Alone,” the band reached out to Barry Grint (Everything Everything, Foals) to master. The result is an affecting piece of ambient indie that builds slowly to an epic crescendo.
