Noise Pop Festival 2022 Preview

Greg Chow

The week-long Bay Area music festival returns this year with a jam-packed schedule

When the last annual Noise Pop festival wrapped up in February 2020, it seemed like a beginning of a great year of music in the Bay. Of course, that just wasn’t the case. Fast-forward (or more appropriately, slow crawl) to 2022, and the Noise Pop festival is finally back. Headlined by acts like Azealia Banks, Jeff Tweedy, and The Drums, the festival features a slew of great shows during the week of February 21-27 in venues across the Bay, from San Francisco to Oakland to Berkeley.

Some highlights for shows each night:

Jeff Tweedy

Monday February 21: Jeff Tweedy @ The Fillmore

Tuesday February 22: Arooj Aftab @ Gray Area

The Drums

Wednesday February 23: The Drums (performing Portamento) @ August Hall

Thursday February 24: Alex G @ August Hall
