Hop Along frontwoman Frances Quinlan thrilled the sold-out crowd at Doug Fir Lounge in Portland this last week. The Philadelphia musician delivered a poignant set of searing guitars, painstaking lyrics and dynamic vocal performances, along with a mix of tracks off her excellent new solo LP Likewise as well as a smattering of Hop Along hits. Sadly, this was the last show that many in the crowd will see for a long time. Bu Quinlan sent us out on a triumphant and ultimately hopeful note – one that will linger for a long time.
