Sleater-Kinney and Lizzo at Terminal 5

Sleater-Kinney’s last New York City performance took place at Webster Hall during a heatwave on August 2, 2006. After going on hiatus nearly ten years ago, they quietly recorded and released another record on Sub Pop called No Cities to Love in January 2015 before embarking on a tour.  On Thursday, February 26, the band returned to Manhattan to perform the first of two sold out concerts at Terminal 5. The Portland, OR trio of Corin Tucker, Carrie Brownstein and Janet Weiss performed songs from nearly all of their records to an extremely appreciative audience. Supporting S-K on their east coast dates was the fantastic and delightful Minneapolis rapper, Lizzo.

All hail the return of Sleater-Kinney. Do not miss Lizzo.
