The Unlikely Candidates at Beat Kitchen

Post Author: Sarah Hess

Texas quintet The Unlikely Candidates – aka TUC – returned to Chicago for its first show since performing at Riot Fest in 2014. The Fort Worth band has been touring in support of the phenomenal EP ‘Bed of Liars.’ Impose caught up with vocalist Kyle Morris, guitarists Cole Male and Brenton “Brent” Carney, drummer Kevin Goddard, and bassist Jared Hornbeek at Beat Kitchen, where the five friends had fans dancing and singing along to new songs like “Ringer” and oldies, such as “Follow My Feet.”

After enjoying some beers and pizza, the guys told Impose it feels “so f***king good” to finally have new music out, after sitting on songs for several years, due to switching labels and scrapping an album. The guys are currently working on an LP, which they’ve been recording and producing at Brent’s house, but in the meantime, the rockers are just enjoying touring the U.S. in support of six-song EP ‘Bed of Liars,’ which was released this past February.

TUC just performed at SXSW and then hit the road, touring throughout the Spring, well into May. See a list of tour dates HERE!

Sweaty fun.
