Sweedish doublet Dream Lake is a dreamy pop reverie from Stockholm, formed by the silvery singer Isabella Svärdstam and polymath musician Niklas Willar Lidholm. United, they passionately compose fantasies with uplifting breezy vocals and gloom. With the release of the new single “Midnight sun” has a very inspirational story behind it, filled with compassion and inspiration. Niklas found his inspiration in a retro film of his father on a summer holiday in the Swedish archipelago back in the 1960’s. After watching the movies, he and a friend paddled canoes out to the island his father visited fifty years ago. He adds, “I felt that had to go to that Island after finishing the music video. It was a special feeling to stand there 50 years later.”

The joy of being young and living life to its fullest. If I close my eyes, I can still feel that seaside breeze. The music brings memories to life.”
“Midnight Sun” is a rare gem, Isabella croons us about memories that we’ve had from someone deep in our hearts long ago, and we still think about them every single day. Add that on top of the sounds of solitude made by multi instrumentalist Niklas, and you get paradise.
