Gláss, “Pheasant of Furs”

Post Author: Meredith Schneider

Athens, Georgia’s post punk collective Gláss – comprised of Aáron Burke (guitar, vocals), Sám Goldsmith (drums), and Aryán Davani (bass, vocals) – has been revving up for their fall tour in support of their early 2016 album Accent. We’ve got the exclusive premiere of the music video for their guitar heavy, sung/spoken single “Pheasant of Furs”.

Focus on a light in front of a sheet, but it looks like an alien eyeball of sorts. Aaron walks in front of it, casting shadows of himself in front of a fire and a dimly lit glow. Smoking, dancing, basically loitering in a dark corner until the quirks in the instrumentals kick in. And then there is vigorous movement and singing into a microphone. We imagine this is somewhat what their live performance might be like, and we’re incredibly intrigued by that glimmer of hope. We’ll probably catch them on one of their upcoming dates, and you probably should too.
